Most of the month May and June 2010 the exhibitions at the Outdoormuseum will be in the framework of Surinamese Photography.
Suriname is a very photogenic country with beautifull landscapes and nature.
The photo's in the exhibition however give a different view. They show the development of the build city-environment over the years and everyday streetlive in Suriname. The latter pictures are rough, unpolished and sometimes confronting.
What is the story behind the picture?
Three generations of Surinamese photographers meet at the exposition: Theo Tjong (73), and the duo Nicolaas (57) en Lugard (29).
You will be amazed by the quality of their artwork.
